This page explains what happens during a specialist assessment, including the steps involved and what you can expect on the day.

Before

I will contact you within two to three days of your enquiry to confirm your needs and arrange an appointment, usually within five working days.

During

The assessment will take place in London or via Microsoft Teams and will last around 2.5 hours. It will includes a background interview and standardised tests covering reading, spelling, cognitive processing, memory and, where relevant, attention and coordination. Outcomes are usually given immediately, with the full report issued within three to five days.

After

You can review the report with me and request amendments. The report will include recommendations for education providers and employers and I can advise on DSA and Access to Work support applications as appropriate.
