The Assessment Process
Before
On receipt of your enquiry (see contact tab) I will get in touch within two or three days to discuss your assessment requirements either on the phone or by email. During our discussion, we would briefly about your motivation for having the assessment and what this would involve. I can usually set up an appointment within five working days.
During
The assessment will take place at either my office in London or via Microsoft Teams and it will take approximately 2.5 hours, perhaps longer depending on the complexity. We would begin with a background information interview that would cover, for example, your educational history and attainments. We would also look at matters such as organisation, concentration and time management. From there, I would adminster a series of tests (reading, spelling, cognitive processing and memory) and we might then look at attentional and co-ordination concerns. In most instances, I will be able to give you the outcome there and then with the full diagnostic report to follow within three to five days from the assessment date
After
On receipt of the report, you will have the opportunity to discuss the findings and make any changes that we agree on. The report will include reccommendations for support from your education provider and/or employer and I could offer you guidance in making applications for the Disabled Students'Aloowance (DSA) and/or Access to work where approriate.
